The Design 30 was the first amplifier to come out of our workshops back in 1993. A 30 watt integrated tube amp using EL34's, regulated by Mos-fets, that combines the rapidity associated with solid-state and the purity of valves, giving a Signal/Noise Ratio of 112dB.

"It's performance is equal to tube amps costing three or four times more, yet who possess neither the charm nor the flexibility of the KORA", wrote tube guru Jean Hiraga. He should know.

April's respected Diapason magazine ran a comparative of our Design 30, the Rogers E20a, Sonic Frontiers' Anthem Integrated 1, the Unison Research Simply Four, Audiomat's Prelude and the Cary SL1 50....here's what they found:

"After lengthy comparisons here's our proposed subjective hierarchy - In first place : the Kora. It was the only one to reconcile neutrality, transparency, definition, elegance and expression. It didn't have the usual faults of tube amps - colouring, a lack of firmness in the lower spectrum. And, with all that, it was neither dull nor sterile....." That's six out of six stars...(Review)

A sleek, piano-black design, using only the best components (silver solder, ALPS potentiameters, polypropylene condensers, aeronautic-quality double-sided printed circuitboard etc).
