New “audio only” version of the highly acclaimed DV-60 has created the “SA-60”

DV-60 Product Detail:
Esoteric’s DV-60 audio disc player is a high performance addition to the Esoteric® product line!
The new SA-60 shares it’s basic audio functionality with the Esoteric DV-50S/DV-60 series, i.e.
high quality 2 channel dedicated analog audio outputs (balanced and un-balanced), backed by a
high-precision 24-bit digital to analog converter, unique user selectable up-conversion technology
and multi-channel analog audio outputs (to support SACD and DVD-A multi-channel audio
information).
Combined with these well-established features, the SA-60 adds the following new features and
technologies suitable for audiophile applications:
- Esoteric® proprietary transport and drive mechanism (with highly rigid metal isolation for
superior anti-vibration and anti-resonance properties).
- Updated D/A converter with new generation “FIR and RDOT + FIR” digital filter algorithms for
audio signal up-conversion, native SACD-DSD mode and PCM to DSD signal conversion
- Word synchronization function (Word clock input / BNC terminal x 1)
- Highly rigid chassis construction with cut aluminum top and side panels (Including an engraved“ESOTERIC” logo on the top).
- Playable disc formats: CD/SACD/DVD-A/SACD multi-channel/CD-R/CD-RW
- Analog audio output terminals: 2 ch RCA output plus independent multi-channel RCA outputs
- Digital audio output terminals: COAXIAL/TOS (Signal format variation: “Stream” or “PCM” can
be selected in SETUP mode operation)

Esoteric’s new disc transport mechanism used in the SA-60, DV-60, SZ-1 and UZ-1 disc
players. The “X-03SE/UX-3SE” series Esoteric optical pick up and horizontal sled assembly
(seen below in an expanded view), are also used in the SA-60, DV-60, SZ-1 and UZ-1.
